Sachin--- The past and hope for a future

I open my facebook wall and all I can see is his name everywhere. In a team of boy's he is the only man.
Dont remember cricket without him. Its been more than 20 years of his playing and still the one name which excudes confidence in the batting line up is his. Cant imagine watching cricket without his name in the batting line up. Some would laugh over me. Call me over obsessed about a game or a player, but the fact is my childhood has been centered around that sport. From the excitement of getting a new bat to the disappointment of breaking it. From the day's of fighting for a run in pre nursery to doing it in college once again. To showing off to all my friends about how well I remember stats. Hell..cricket has been the biggest ice breaker with new people for me. I feel "whats the score man" is always better than even a simple "hi". Atleast it lead to a conversation. Just hope I can feel the same about the sport after he retires. Dont want to loose my biggest asset.
Have to salute an innings of a lifetime. More than feeling bad that my team lost. I felt bad for the man who gave everything for the match. Innings like that remind me of his vintage sharjah. I thought we had lost that. After an innings like that one has to salute the master.

Life now--- I want a pause button

My internship is going on these days. Back in Bangalore for 10 weeks. I didnt wanna come here first. But it gave me an important realisation. I love being home and love being in Bangalore. I was really missing this place without knowing it.
I like being pampered at home. Call me a spoilt brat I dont care. I love my friends here. Can speak to them about anything. Love the city. I know it inside out. Dont feel lost here. The city also seems more inviting.
Contrast this to mumbai. Its a bright place to be in. Lots of happenings. But it doesnt feel like home. It might be more exciting but you feel more lost than anything else. You get the feeling that people dont want you there. College too doesnt feel the same like my college here. College here was fun. It just doesnt feel right there. College is also a place where hardwork goes unrewarded.
As the days are going by and I have just above two weeks to go back to mumbai. So not looking forward to it. I have friends there too and I want to catch up with some of them. They may be less in number but some are really close and I miss them.
But there is no pause button. Two weeks will end soon. In fact i suddenly feel that someone has hit the fast forward button.

The First One

First time ever. Dont think if I am doing this because its a fad. Normally, thats when I try new things. But this feels nice. I can just write what I feel. More of a private kind a person. Dont speak much to people around me. So maybe I can voice my opinion here.
I should probably justify the name of this blog. - " Stop thinking an Start Writing". I have a problem u see. I think about too many things on my own. Its high time I stopped doing that. Maybe this could be a more healthy way of pinning my thoughts.
So thats why the title. Lets hope I can continue with this more often.
